Reviewed reporting & exports

A better handover.
Down to the detail.

Make it clear what was surveyed, what was reviewed and what still needs attention when you deliver asset information.

The export should tell the truth about the work.

A spreadsheet can look complete while containing unresolved findings. A useful handover states the scope of the survey and makes the status of the records visible.

Reviewed exports may include pending assets with their approval status explicitly listed. Agree whether your client expects all collected records or only an accepted subset before sending a deliverable.

Build the handover around the recipient.

  1. Agree the template

Identify the sheets, columns, location fields and naming conventions required by the receiving team.

  2. Check the sample round trip

Import and export a representative workbook. Compare values, formulas and required sheets; confirm formatting expectations separately.

  3. Resolve or disclose findings

Correct confirmed issues and make outstanding questions visible. Do not hide uncertainty behind a clean-looking report.

  4. Deliver with context

Record the scope, review status and any agreed exclusions so the next team knows how to use the data.

Workbook fidelity needs a real sample.

Preserving workbook data and reproducing every Excel presentation feature are different requirements. Embedded objects, complex formatting and unusual templates should be tested before they become contractual expectations.

NUtech retains the original workbook separately from reviewed outputs. Use the original, reviewed data and approval history together when checking a handover. Bespoke PDF layouts or client-specific reporting integrations can be discussed as additional scope.

Questions, answered.

Can we keep our existing Excel format?

Start by sharing an anonymised representative template. Its content and required presentation can then be checked before you commit to a workflow.

Does exporting mean every record is approved?

No. Check the approval-status fields and agree the handover criteria with the client.
